School wide achievement award, recognising participation and achievement in school activities.
Categories and Criteria for 2010 :
Sport
* School competitive Swimming Sports
* School competitive Cross Country
* Play sport in a team for TPI for a sustained period of time
(Netball, Softball, Touch, AIMS teams, Tai Mitchell,
Hockey, Boxfit etc)
* Represent TPI at the Inter-school sporting fixtures at least once.
* Consistently have P.E gear at school and display good
sportsmanship
* Participate with competence in the T.P.I Athletics Day
Arts
* Be a regular member of one of the choirs
* Be a member of either Kapahaka groups
* Be a member of a band/music group/popstars
or culture club
* Be a member of a dance group
* Have an active role in either School production, Interarts or
Artsfest annually Attend the Formal social dance
Academic
* Present a school speech competently
* Participate in the external South Australian Exams
* Attend all 3 way conferences
* Present a complete Science fair investigation
* Present a completed Inquiry project to the class
* Be an effective member during PReP
School Culture
* Consistently demonstrate the School Values
* Have an active role in your class assembly
* Complete school service i.e librarian, food tech/
workshop monitor, media group etc.
* Complete the 40 hour famine
* Be an excellent helper during class duties
* Participate in the SPCA Cup cake fundraiser
Distinction only
Community :
Belong to a community group or club for a minimum 6 months consecutively.
and
Volunteer your services to a neighbour in need for a minimum 8 hours.
or
Volunteer your time to a charity / non profit organisation for a minimum 8 hours.
Levels of achievement:
Bronze award – To achieve 3/6 events in all categories of Sport, Arts, Academic and School Culture. All events must be verified.
Silver Award - To achieve 4/6 events in all categories of Sport, Arts, Academic and School Culture. All events must be verified.
Gold Award – To achieve 5/6 events in all categories of Sport, Arts, Academic and School Culture. All events must be verified.
Distinction award - To achieve a Gold award and also complete the Community service section. All events must be verified and confirmed by school.
Award presentation
Bars will be awarded as achieved. They will be presented at the end of each term at assembly.
Gold and Distinction winners will be recognised at end of year prizegiving.
